The Widows and Orphans Revelation Advocates is a grass roots world class NGO. WAORA’s aim is to build a gender society with self-sustaining economically independent and politically empowered women.
WAORA major activities are the prevention of female infanticide, feticide and violation against women; and the socio-economic, cultural and political empowerment of women. WAORA Trust has established 145 women’s groups with a membership of more than 25000, prevented more than 7000 girl children from female infanticide and provided more than 500 girl children for adoption. WAORA Trust has also amicably solved more than 25000 family issues through counselling and legal assistance, and has helped more than 30,500 women with money for their income-generating projects. WAORA has also been involved in a large number of other initiatives, details of which can be found on the website. In addition, WAORA Trust has won awards for its social work program.
The Charity Centre for Widows and Orphans is a world support NGO that aim to assist widows and orphans by establishing orphanages and helping widows to start their own small businesses.
